About Rohan Reid
Rohan Reid is recognized as one of the most accomplished bassists in the Caribbean. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, he started learning bass at age 6 when his father taught him guitar chords for church accompaniment. By age 10, he was touring internationally with Grace Thrillers, Jamaica's significant gospel group. In 1985, Rohan co-founded the group Change with Patrick Kitson and Henry Morrison, fusing gospel, jazz, and reggae into a revolutionary sound. Change became the first and only gospel aggregation to perform at Reggae Sun Splash and was featured in Billy Graham's Global Mission 1994, broadcast to over 300 countries. Rohan later moved to Orlando, Florida, where in 2007 he released his debut album Rifle Road, establishing himself as a jazz artist with a unique rhythmic sound influenced by his reggae background.
