About Conchman

Real name Patrick Frost. Captivated by island rhythms since age four when his family moved from Topeka, Kansas to Bermuda, he fully absorbed the tropical culture and music of the region. During his tenure with the Island Breeze Caribbean band, he worked alongside musicians from Jamaica, Grenada, Dominica, Antigua, The Bahamas, and Trinidad and Tobago. In 1998, while developing a show for Disney Cruise Lines' Disney Magic ship, he taught himself to play conch shells, earning the nickname "The Conch Man." He played steel pan on Jon Anderson's (YES) album "1000 Hands: Chapter One" (2019), trading licks with Chick Corea on the track "Come Up."
